Breast Cancer Awareness Month Campaign 2015

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a worldwide movement of mobilization for early detection of breast cancer.

During this month, several events of awareness, prevention and assistance are produced by the Museum of the Future Foundation in partnership with Torriton Beauty Center:

• Hair donation for production of wigs – for women and children undergoing treatment for cancer – through various collection points, which also come in promoting the project – such as beauty salons, hairdressers, etc.
• Collecting cash donations revert to the ONG´s of cancer prevetion.
• Actions at various locations, with a view to display all the necessary information about breast cancer, such as: self-examination, treatments, etc.
• Projecting all actions in the local media in order to spread awareness of the project through the community.
• Joint actions with various agencies in order to spread the message and the project, such as lighting with light pink known locations of the city.

All the hair donations for wigs, hats, scarves and also donations in cash will be fully reverted to the NGA “Atitude na Cabeça” in order to assist the institution in its support for cancer patients.
